A sixty-something hillbilly decides she is going to join the local beauty pageant to reclaim her cheating husband's attention. When her friends oppose her, a brawl erupts, sparking a deeper reflection on societal beauty standards and the limitations they impose, compelling us to question their origins and relevance.

Ever since she high-kicked her way out of the womb, Lauren Kleeman has had a passion for telling stories. She wants to bring more satires, allegories, and parodies to the world but with a feminine twist. Whether she writes about healthy eating, classism, or naked Jesus she creates magical worlds full of puns and absurd jokes, aiming to teach life lessons wrapped in a hilarious package.

Director Statement:
I want to uplift and amplify marginalized voices through the lens of comedy.
“Trailer Park Queen” is a lead cast of 4 hilarious women, ranging 30-70 years old, challenging the traditional stereotypes associated with older women such as being confined to 'sweet grandma' or 'medicare patient' roles, that are now getting to play wrestling rednecks in a trailer park. In addition to cast representation, our crew predominantly consists of women, LGBTQIA, and BIPOC filmmakers, emphasizing the significance of diverse representation both behind and in front of the camera.
